It was a really cold morning. Thanks for the over 100 runners and walkers who came out in the cold to run and walk.
For some, it was there first official run / walk EVER. We're thrilled to be a part of everyone's active lifestyle.
The race itself resulted in $350 in net proceeds, and a high school student for his community service raised another $150 in donations. In addition, participants were asked to bring food donations. Pretty good for a $10 race!
On the way over to the lake, the water jugs froze in the back of the truck! We were able to thaw them out enough for people to enjoy COLD water as part of the post-race refreshments that included warm roasted fingerling potatoes, CLIF organic granola bars, bananas, clementines, and mozzarella cheese sticks.
All food and monetary donations will be delivered to United Community Ministries.
